Organ mirrors, Console mirrors, however you wish to refer to them, provide vision
behind the organist without the irritation of neck strain.  All mirrors have a positive lock
system that once set will not change on its own accord.

In my organ "hopping", I find the mirror systems (if any)
a "sometimes delightfully untidy
and interesting affair"
.  Usually the rushed efforts of an auto rear view mirror...with a
bright or dim setting in case more candles are used than normal (smile)! or they are
either a small 2" x 3" make-up mirror stuck up with electricians tape, or a
big ole' piece
of mirror edged in duct tape just leaning up against something waiting to fall, or, those
valiant efforts by well meaning "handy guys" that wiggle and jiggle, made with old door
hinges and the like....with an occasional shaving mirror thrown in for good measure!

Most mirrors I find
"in the wild" are pale comparisons to
KeyArts precision built organ mirrors.

Our customers breathe a sigh of relief at their first use of our mirrors and wonder why
they had not thought to get one sooner.

I build these mirrors to last with ease of repair in the future.  Here you will find mirrors
designed by a career organist with background in the wood and metal trades. Well
constructed of top quality materials, these are the kind of mirrors you may be tempted
to take with you if you leave your current church job (It has happened)!
Design is not too ornate nor too industrial.

Our mirrors are not cookie cutter items...they are hand-crafted with extreme accuracy
and are viewed as works of craft-art...that work... and probably should be signed and
numbered.  It takes about 20 hours over three days to complete most mirrors...so it is
really a labor of creative play resulting in a very necessary item
for many organists that would make a world of difference.

Like most creations and musical performances,
these mirrors evolve in design, finishing and structure.

Restoration, rebuilds, and repairs are available
for these mirrors or your existing vintage mirrors.
"It was the necessity of supporting myself and my little
son that made me a writer of songs. It is true that even
as a little girl, when I thought of the future, I always
thought of myself as a songwriter."

So said Carrie Jacobs-Bond in 1927 in writing her
biography, The Roads Of Melody. If ever a person
foresaw their own destiny, it was that little girl in
Wisconsin. Carrie Jacobs-Bond went on to become
America's premier popular songwriter for a period of
several decades. She wrote some of the most lasting
"heart and home" songs that this country has ever
known. Two of her songs, I Love You Truly and A
Perfect Day continue to be well known and have been
favorites for nearly 100 years. Left virtually penniless,
disabled by rheumatism and with a young boy to raise
by herself, Carrie Jacobs-Bond overcame adversity
and through her own faith and hope, built a music
publishing empire and became known world wide.

Carlo Curley has recorded
A Perfect Day , and his
elegant arrangement is a supreme treatment of the
emotional nuances of the text.  An absolutely MUST
have recording on CD

"A PERFECT DAY"
Carrie Jacobs-Bond, 1862-1946

When you come to the end of a perfect day,
And you sit alone with your thought,
While the chimes ring out with a carol gay,
For the joy that the day has brought,
Do you think what the end of a perfect day
Can mean to a tired heart,
When the sun goes down with a flaming ray,
And the dear hearts have to part?

Well, this is the end of a perfect day,
Near the end of a journey, too,
But it leaves a thought that is big and strong,
With a wish that is kind and true.
For mem'ry has painted this perfect day
With colors that never fade,
And we find at the end of a perfect day,
The soul of a friend we've made.

"Yes, OF COURSE it's me !, trying to get some down time...organ mirrors take a lot of my
time and energy.  Now let me get back to sleep so I can do a good check on your mirror. "
You would want to get some rest if you had my responsibilities...cat-scanning and all.
Just had to wake me up didn't you?"
